Imaging Center
The Amsterdam UMC Imaging Center is a state-of-the-art facility where diagnostics, research, and tracer/isotope production are brought together under one roof.
You will find, among others:
- Radiology & Nuclear Medicine / Research Imaging Core Center (RICC)
Clinical and research imaging, including PET/CT, PET/MRI, SPECT/CT, CT, and MRI (1.5T, 3T, and 7T). Applications include oncology, rheumatology, neurology, and therapy response monitoring. - Tracer Center Amsterdam (TCA)
Development of new (radio)tracers for diagnostics and drug research. - BV Cyclotron VU
An underground facility with four cyclotrons, one of the largest cyclotron sites in Europe.
Core facilities
The core facilities of Amsterdam UMC are shared, high-end research infrastructures available to researchers across both Amsterdam UMC locations. These include facilities in areas such as genomics, proteomics, and cellular imaging. The Amsterdam UMC Biobank is also part of these core facilities.
